Sigma 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Canon EF-M, Bundle with ProOptic 52mm Filter Kit, PC Lens, Cleaner, Lens Pouch, Cleaning Kit, Cap Keeper

I've been looking at this lens for my Canon M50 for some time and decided to take the plunge and get it once it went on sale on Macy's. Video and photo quality is outstanding and better than I'd expected. One drawback is that video auto-focus is too loud and is definitely noticeable on a playback. I'm sure you can resolve it if you use an external mic like rode or something similar. Not a deal breaker for me and I don't have anything modern with AF in the same price range to compare it to. As far as glass is concerned then it's way way better than the stock Canon lens that comes with M50. I have been using an old (from 1970s) Olympus lens with an adapter on my M50 to actually get decent quality photos. I wish I'd purchased this lens a long time ago, I was just afraid that it would be of similar quality to the stock glass but I was pleasantly surprised. The glass on this lens is better than the price by a mile. Well worth it.
