I am a first time purchaser of the brand. I found the the product is very liquid ad level a white residue on my face which is difficult to get rid of eve after rubbing in hard. I expected a much better product for a high end brand.
I only use it in the morning before going out, and overall, it's good. The only thing I don't like is that after applying it, it leaves a visible white, creamy layer on my face.
I spend a lot of time hiking, especially in the summer, and I sweat a lot. Other face sunscreens I've used get into my eyes without fail and make my eyes burn the entire hike and the day following until I can wash them out. The Shisedo facial sunscreen, however, has been a game changer. It goes on very light and does not drip into or hurt my eyes even after a full day of outdoor activities.
I really like this product almost 25 years until now
Lighter than regular sunscreens. At first, i was surprised it was kinda liquid, but now I mostly use it as a base or wear it alone. I am buying more of this baby to stock up, it is now my favorite. Here in California sun is everywhere, and this sunscreen is a perfect product for my dry, sun-damaged skin.

At first I was unsure about it, but it has grown on me, I do miss the old formula but its good.
If you engage in serious watersports like waterskiing, swimming, surfing, this new formulation will not protect your skin. This new formulation is for you if you are going to sit in the shade near the pool. The active ingredients in the new formula have been grossly reduced.
