I ordered this packable raincoat for our trip to Scotland. This coat was a rockstar! I was able to carry it in my purse when not needed. When that sideways rain started, it kept me dry - no umbrella needed!

This jacket came in time for the N’oreaster over the weekend. I wore it everywhere! I like that the hood stands up straight in the wind and the collar doesn’t collapse. I also like the drawstring waist. The length completely covers the hips and it’s fairly easy to zip compared to other jackets. The color should stand out with our early darkness in the afternoon.
Returned. This would be great if I could cinch the hood, but the mechanism just doesn’t work. It’s supposed to “bite” the bungee drawstring when you release, but the wind just un-cinched the hood. Please just use the visible cord locks like the one at the waist! They are *fine*!
This is a gorgeous raincoat, with high-quality details throughout. Unfortunately for me, it runs large and I chose the petite large size for the first time. It's going back, but I plant to go back to petite medium next.
I bought this beautiful Lands’ End “waterproof” raincoat for a three week trip to Norway, including one of its rainiest cities, Bergen. In Norway, the saying goes, “There is no bad weather, only bad clothing.” So, we packed accordingly – light layers, warm layers, waterproof layers! After extensive research, I settled on this Lands’ End raincoat because it was a petite length (I am 5’1”), it was waterproof (per the description and reviews), it was packable (we pack in carry-on backpacks), and the color was gorgeous (looking good in a raincoat was a bonus). We love to walk around cities and go on spontaneous hikes by changing layers as needed. Well, in Bergen we were met with heavy rain – no big deal, right? I had my new Lands’ End “waterproof” raincoat to protect me! Wrong. The coat failed miserably! Every drop of rain soaked into the fabric and through the lining. I was left cold, wet, and frustrated that my careful planning and packing was ruined by this worthless Lands’ End “raincoat.” Thankfully, our hotel was nearby, and as we dried off, I was able to find an outdoor store within two blocks that carried reliable, rugged Norwegian brands that would withstand any elements. If it is not apparent by now, no, I do not recommend this coat if you plan on staying dry while outdoors in even a whiff of rain. I cannot believe Lands’ End would market this coat as waterproof. If zero stars were an option that is what I would select.
I absolutely love it. I bought it for a cruise to Canada and it packs beautifully with no no space. It’s lightweight and comfortable.
I've only used this jacket in the rain one time, and it seemed to work as expected. The dark green color is perfect, as is the longer length.
I'm 72. My generation had ugly raincoats. Always dull. often black. Last week I went wild. Yes indeed. Got a womens' waterproof....raincoat in "rich ginger brown". I feel like a new woman. Fit perfect, based on website measurements. Woo hoo!
I love the fit and style of this jacket very much. The one problem is the sleeves are way too long. The size I bought was a tall large.
Just returned from 10 days in Scotland and this jacket was used everyday! It was perfect for rain proof, wind resistant, perfect top layer and the hood stayed on and didn't interfere with my sightseeing! Highly recommended if you're traveling to Scotland!
