Love the space of this tent, but...... Hate 1) It is not that easy to put up and take down, maybe because I have the 8 person. The legs seem to twist and fall and it is tricky getting to correct orientation. Poles bend as a result and one even broke the button that locks it into place. 2) Rainfly is a separate purchase 3) Tent even with rainfly is not waterproof. Rainfly design is poor as it does not extend out past the bottom of the tent. This along with the slanted walls allow water into the tent. I would not recommend unless you are only camping in dry weather or have a tarp you can rig up to prevent rain from hitting the tent.

Heavy duty! Zipper and the seams are very well made and durable. I love the solid roof as I use a heater inside my tent and the heat stays in. With all other brands using the new see the stars view all the heat escapes and it’s freezing. Thank you, Coleman for having this option of a solid in closed roof / ceiling.
This tent is not waterproof at all. Rained for only 40 mins and everything inside the tent was soaked. For the cost of this tent, there is better and cheaper out there. Colemen brand is garbage Ruined my week vacation to
It is easy to setup by myself, tons of space, withstood a costal storm on Virginia Beach with 50+ mph winds and has continued to last for years.
We were avid campers for several years. We looked for a tent that actually had a top on it and not a screen. We found this 8-10 person instant cabin tent. The first use was perfect. Having used it once a year for about 6 years tops. It gradually started to leak. Making what we never thought would be our last camping trip. It stormed! Everything leaked even with the umbrella on it. I see you make a better one now, supposedly more waterproof. After reading this, will you consider replacing ours with your newer one? So we can again camp comfortably but dry.
I’ve had this tent just over a year (out of warranty by a few months). I’ve used it 3 times. On the second time one of the tent poles twisted; I duct taped it but the roof pole doesn’t extend anymore. I just used it for the 3rd time; another pole twisted and broke off the little metal piece that snaps the extender pole in place. I was ok having 1 wonky pole but now I have 2! Not worth the money.
The original model of the tent was awesome, so much so that we got the new one. The new one WONT STAND UP! Its caving in on its self.
The easiest set up for one person. I use mine in all weather. I have had mine for 10 years very easy to transport and durable with comfort. My best tent in all my years of camping
As a solo camper the first time I used this tent, it couldn't have been easier to set up and then take down several days later. I looked up several YouTubes about this tent before using it, and that was helpful! The size was perfect to use as a cabin style tent. Although the temperature was in the 90's during the days, the tent was comfortable during the nights because of the good ventilation and in fact that I put up a shade/rain tarp over the tent.
Okay this thing is huge. You can probably fit way more than 8 people or a whole bedroom. I was thinking about parking my car in it. It probably would fit. It's a great tent and easy to set up but you need to find a big open space for it.
