Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring (5/8 ct. t.w.) in Platinum

I admit this was a bit of a knee jerk purchase and I should have done some verification first. However, this ring is marketed as platinum and I am still struggling to find any fine print in the description that states the band is instead white gold. It is an absolutely beautiful ring though. I wanted something low profile, simple, yet elegant and it meets that criteria. I just really would have preferred a platinum band.
