The solar-powered addition worked better than I expected. The install was very easy and I no longer need to charge and replace the battery.

Better than Ring Version!
I actually got a refund on my Ring solar charger and bought this third party one. Right away I noticed that the Wasserstein version bigger solar panels. That’s always better to capture more rays. Also it connected right away and is doing an overall good job providing support energy to the ring doorbell with battery. I’m pretty sure it’s not suppose to “charge” the battery but rather assist in providing energy to the doorbell making you have to charge the battery less often. It does exactly that!

Second Unit for my Ring
This solar unit seems to be a bit better made then the first unit I bought. This is my second unit, the first one stopped working after approximately 18 months. I had to modify it a bit to get it to work with my 1st Gen Ring Camera. So far it’s been keeping my camera charged.
