Seiko Men's Automatic 5 Sports Black Nylon Strap Watch 43mm

I've been a fan of Seiko watches since I got my first one in 1983. They're very rarely let me down. This is my 5th Seiko 5 of this type (SRPD series) and even my teal Time Sonar tribute doesn't get as many compliments as this one. It really stands out, and surprisingly it's easy to read too. Being on a NATO strap as well means it sits a little proud on the wrist but I don't find it uncomfortable. I'm not a huge fan of those straps and I sometimes switch it off with an old black Seiko strap that came off a Recreaft SNE447. Of course 22mm replacement straps of all types are available. About the only complaint I could have with it is that the lums aren't nearly as good as a standard Seiko watch but that's to be expected. In fact even under daylight it hardly charges. Besides that this is an excellent sporty everyday watch and accurate to about 5 seconds a day. Unlike the older Seiko 5's this one has hacking and handwinding capabilities.

This watch is amazing, especially being my first automatic. The price that macys gave was great. Definitely saving up to buy next automatic from macys.

Great watch. Seiko 5 SRPD watches are great mechanical automatic watches offering time hacking and hand winding on an automatic winding movement. While they are the base of many modded watches, the watch is beautiful as it comes. Love the blacked out dial and nato style watch band.

Watch is gorgeous. Looks more expensive than it is. Strap is garbage! Looks and feels cheap. I replaced strap immediately.

I got this because I was looking for a nice, all black watch. The dial is a bit difficult to read, but it looks very cool. The watch itself is a nice build and looks great. The edges are a bit sharp, but it looks very clean. The strap looks great in photos, but it's very thin and feels cheap. As a result, it's hard to deal with and takes a while to put the watch on each time. The strap has a very long band and there is quite a bit of extra strap sticking out. I will definitely be upgrading the band. Given the build quality and the look of this watch, I am happy with the value.
