Calyx had been my go-to scent since it was introduced. My previous atomizer was the larger (no longer available) 3.4 oz/100 ml. Naturally, it lasted a long time. But when in August 2026 I purchased Calyx again, in the smaller 1.7 oz size, I discovered the scent had changed. Apparently a reformulation by Clinique happened between purchases. The new scent is just that: a new scent and one I would not have chosen. It lacks the woodsy, green lightness and even has a fragrance note I'd described as alliaceous. Great in cooking, not so much on one's wrist. I missed the return window unfortunately, so I simply post this here as a cautionary tale for those who loved Calyx and are contemplating a purchase. Go to the perfume counter FIRST and sample it. It is not the Calyx you originally came to love.

I've been wearing calyx from since H/S. Unfortunately, the longevity of the scent isn't lasting. More importantly, there seems to ber a defect with the spray cover. I've purchased at lest three bottles for the year and I've had to exchange them all. However, I'm still having the same issue. Multiple sales reports have expressed that numerous customers hedge complained about this issue. I'm hoping they've brought it up to clinique, as it seems to be a manufacturing issue. Overall, I can't say I'm happy with my purchase I really wanted to love calyx again.

I've been using Calyx since the 90's. It's one of my all time favs along with Clinique Aromatics. Smells amazing and different. Always get so many compliments when I wear it and fragrance lasts all day. Reasonably priced compared to other newer perfumes on the market. I'll stick to my old time favs.
