Hamilton Beach® 5 Cup Compact Coffee Maker with Programmable Clock

The coffee maker is so cute. It looks modern and small enough for daily use. It only takes me one minute everyday to make coffee, save time and money.

What I like about the Hamilton Beach 5-cup Programmable Drip Coffee Maker: + The bold brew option is a plus. + I can set it up the night before to brew before I wake up. + The hot plate turns off automatically about two hours after brew is done. + The hinged basket is removeable. + The water capacity is only about 25 ounces. + The overall size is compact (about 8" D x 6" W x 11" H) It's almost perfect: - Display is not lit. It is hard to see what the display says even in well-lit conditions. - Loses time. Doesn't keep time or loses time. Time has to be reprogrammed regularly/weekly. - Carafe is very fragile. Carafe spout chipped until it was gone. Cost to replace carafe (including S/H) is more than purchase price of coffee-maker. - Button labels disappear. Painted button-labels wear-away with little use. Buttons can't be wiped clean at all without removing the painted-on labels.

Was not shipped inside another box. received it box all torn don't know if it's broken.

Very goodquality. The breathability is great, the color stays nice, and the stitching is strong. It did not shrink after washing. I’m very happy with the quality.

I really like the size and function of this coffee maker, but the clock and controls aren’t working. I will return it to exchange for another.

Very nice and the coffee tastes great! (Finally, I had a really expensive brand and it was different every time.) You do need paper filters though. Convenient because where you put in both water and coffee pull out at the front. It is small and will fit nicely in a kitchenette or any small area. It looks REALLY small in my normal sized kitchen but I don't need a big pot of coffee for myself. Overall, I highly recommend my Hamilton Beach coffee maker!

I bought the 5 cupper today and the HR and MIN don't work. According to the reviews, which I wish I had read first, I see I'm not the only one this happened to. I hate returning things. I could have bought a 12 cup for the same price. Returning it tomorrow and buying a different brand.

Disappointed that the warmer cannot be turned off. I usually make 2 cups, which I pour into an insulated mug before I leave the house, so the burner does not need to stay on for two hours. I have to unplug it to turn off that feature. Other than that, this coffee maker works well for me.

Easy to use-just left my Keurig days....
