This burner is easy to use and convenient but not very powerful.

I was told by my mother that the induction cookers are popular in Asia, so I bought one to try as she was coming to visit and might cook some food in Sep 2024. But then this induction cooker replaces our stove heaters with natural gas, because it's so efficient, easy, and convenient. I think after a year of almost daily use without any issues, I need to write a review of it to tell others it's a good product. This review is not based on I bought it yesterday or last week, but over a year ago. It's still working perfectly.

It’s a nice device. There’s a few things I don’t like about it. It doesn’t appear to want to turn off completely, the on/off button just flashes a red light over and over and sometimes it beeps or the fan comes on. It also it doesn’t appear to properly detect the heat and cut off at the set temperature. Instead, it just keeps cooking and boils the water over my tea kettle.

Just received it today and really like it already. Seems easy to use.

Last year I unplugged my stove and switched to using induction cooktops Checking my Power bills over the next few months I found that I was saving 35% on my power bill. My Old Cooktop work for over a year until it didn't. Checking the warranty found that it expired. Bought the this induction cooktop to replace the one which broke and found that they offer 5yr warranty to Canadians! The product works great and is easier to use then the one it replace. The rings of the cooktop are bigger then the cooktop it replaced and the heat is much more even in the frying pan. Using cookware made for induction cook tops you can damage and\or warp the pan if you cook with high heat. Ruined several frying pans this way. But this cooktop turns on at 175F and I can turn it up to the desired heat. The timer feature is really easy to use. Last night I made made a meal that said to cook for 10 minutes and after it was set at a low boil I was able to walk away.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach Portable Induction Cooker is a handy cooktop to have. I like that it has 10 different levels of heating, but it does take a little trial and error to figure out which level is best for what items you're cooking at the time. The display has a strange "bubble/crystal"-like look to the glass top so it can be a little hard to read at times (depending on the angle you're looking at it from). The cooktop is also fairly easy to clean, but please be aware that it is hot and stays hot for a little bit after turning it off. A piece of plastic wrap touched it after I had turned off the cooktop and immediately melted. Overall, I think that if you need a portable induction cooktop, or wanted to try one out, this is a good choice.

I used it in my home and brought it to a family member’s home for more cooking space during a family dinner. As long as you pay attention and buy a compatible pan to cook on it, this kitchen item is spectacular. It’s so must faster to boil water on than a stove.

I love that it is portable and I can take it camping or just use it as an extra burner. I love that it doesn't heat up until you put the pan on top of the burner too. The burner has a pretty even heating as well..
