I absolutely love how beautiful this Dutch oven is! The cherry color is gorgeous, and the size is perfect for my kitchen. It feels very sturdy and well-made, and the overall design is even prettier in person. I'm really looking forward to cooking with it and trying out some new recipes. Such a beautiful addition to my kitchen!
I had to return for replacement twice because of the poor craftsmanship. The last one still has issues with the letter “s” that’s tilted. I don’t understand how come then quality control could be so poor on the new color.
I've always admired Staub products, and we've had quite a few of another well-known French brand (LC) that my wife inherited from her Mom. Having said that, I wanted something that WE chose and I've always liked the features of Staub Dutch ovens over the competition for various reasons. The Staub workmanship seems impeccable, and the dark blue finish, along with an incredible price from our local retailer was irresistible. So I purchased it today, with my wife looking approvingly. hehe....anyways, though I've yet to use it (just got it today) we have friends with this brand, so I'm well-aware of Staub performance. I like the Staub black interior too, vs the competition's white interiors...but I must say, manly man I am, I PUSHED the purchase of this, and not my wife. hehe. All my own doing after seeing this thing at the local store twice this week....little did I know it was the last one in Dark Blue they had. So now my prize is sitting, unboxed, ready for its first wash before I make homemade chili in it this week. I also purchased it because it's the perfect size for Sourdough bread, which I'm getting into making. So many uses for this striking dutch oven, and the perfect size for two.
We love this pot. We use it to braise meats, stews, cook soups, even bake! It cooks even and heat well. Easy to use. I coat it with oil after every wash.

Though I got it during sale but not factory second, the cover had defects. Expected higher quality control from a reputable company. Yet to use the pot.

I love my Staub! This is the 2nd dutch oven I have. I have the 7 quart and now the 4 quart. This 4 quart is perfect for smaller batches of soup for the three of us. Plus, I have used it to make amazing Artisan bread! I love how functional it is and it is beautiful!
Bought 2, and unfortunately one of them had a black dot on the lid, which is noticeable on this white truffle color. Other than that, very nice pot 😊
