Herbal Actives, Gugulipid®, Extended Release, 1,000 mg, 30 Tablets

Bought to lower high cholesterol due to Hashimotos, Ive since learnt that Guggul is used as a thyroid stimulant in traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Its been shown to improve thyroid function in mice. It apparently increases iodine uptake by the thyroid and increases the conversion of T4 to T3 in the liver. All good for Hashimotos sufferers! Its thought that its this effect on thyroid regulation that leads to lowered cholesterol levels. Currently taking with a range of other supplements for Hashimotos. Relatively large tablets but I find them easy to swallow and no negative effects after several days use. A good quality high dose with extended release, my preferred format.

I take this medication on the advice of my Ayurveda doctor and I am very happy. I have already bought Guggul from another company, but this one is the most profitable in price and has the same good quality. Importantly, the dosage is high and you can only take one capsule a day! It is very comfortable.

The benefit is that I solved this inflammatory process in ankylosing spondylitis along with other supplements. With the right diet and supplementation, success is guaranteed. I bought this bc it’s one active ingredient; Gugulipid. Unlike many others that make a cocktail w/ingredients I don’t want. It’s a big, heavy tablet. I’ve not yet tested so I don’t know if I’ve improved my high cholesterol.
