We bought this after getting nervous about all the onion recalls. It turns out to be almost as good as a fresh onion in terms of flavor for cooking. Just add a little water and sauté in the pan as you would a fresh onion to reconstitute for 100% flavor. One tablespoon = a half med onion. Provides a nice mellow onion flavor. Highly recommended in lieu of fresh.

honestly you just cant go wrong with anything containing onion. It just goes so well with savory dishes. the quality of the ingredient is really good as well, which is not suprising considering the brand. the taste is great and goes well when using in recipes, and the size and packaging is the perfect serving. been using it alot especilly in stews.

I don't know what I expected, but when I used these minced onions the texture was really off. When roasted it became too crunchy and if used in a sauce you'd get soggy bits. While the flavour was good, we ended up grinding it further so it had the texture of garlic powder. That way we were able to use up the ingredient without adding waste! Overall, we wouldn't purchase again but if texture isn't a big issue for you it should be fine for your recipes.
