I realized how sulfurous ALA is when I got the powder - I ended up purchasing capsules and setting this aside until I have time to make my own capsules as I'm not sure I want it in my smoothie!

ALA has good quality, most beneficial as an antioxidant. And important for that reason. May want to buy empty capsules on iherb to cap up your own, since powder has a strong taste that may not be palatable to some. Doctor specifically told me that if I were not taking ALA then I should be. Must be a very important supplement. This is a pure powder form with no fillers or additives!

mixed with water, it tastes like yellow mustard powder and sulphur, has a distinct burn ... hard to tollerate even for myself, and I consider myself pretty hard to phase with powders and pills. I intend to keep going because otherwise it would be a waste, and you known 'if it tastes bad it's probably doing you good' :) p.s. just realized i used a full scoop, maybe a half will be more tollerable.
