Delicious hot cereal with a grainy texture. I tried it with dried fruits and I also tried it with jam, but I much prefer it savoury with chicken or beef broth, so yummy! Very easy and convenient to make in the microwave with several 30 sec bursts as instructed on the packet. I’ve not bothered trying the stove method since the microwave works so well. Will definitely re-order this, highly recommended.

It reminds me a lot of the old Ralston hot breakfast cereals. It's really a complex-tasting cereal and that is because it's a high-quality mix of SEVEN grains, seeds and bran--that is, whole grain wheat, whole grain rye, whole grain oats, whole grain triticale, pearled barley, whole grain brown rice, oat bran, and flaxseed. Of course the main source of energy is carbs, but you get a very healthy dose of fiber and considerable protein, too.

I have never tried one of these before, it is my first. I typically will have rolled oats or, more often, steel cut oats, but I wanted to try something different. I find this to be a welcome break from rolled oats without being as complicated to make as steel cut oats. I do make it in milk, and I add some dried fruit (blueberries or cherries) and top with a little honey and sliced almonds. The quality is excellent and the price here makes this an affordable alternative to rolled oatmeal.
