I was fairly surprised after trying this fragrance the first time. After the first application I didn't reapply for the whole day and it lasted fairly long, approximately 6 hours. At first it's scent was mostly floral, which I do not like at all, but I gave it time. After the initial dry down it was less floral and the fruitiness as well as freshness was more forward. I appreciate this as I'm not a floral perfume person, but I was able to wear this all day and not feel like I wanted to wash it off. The perfumer definitely blended this very well as even a non floral scents person did wear this. I highly recommend trying this out if you want to dable into floral without being overwhelmed. I'm such a sucker for a fruity fragrance and I have been so in love with using Sparkling Royal from Kilian. It's so bright and such a perfect daytime fragrance. I found that it lasted on me almost all day. It's quite strong at first, but the drydown is so lovely and juicy. A very flattering scent. Absolutely love it! On me, I swear that Sparkling Royal smells just like guava nectar! Which I personally like a lot, it just doesn’t match what I was expecting based on the scent profile. This perfume is bright and fruity and gives me a relaxed and fun vibe that evoked summer or tropical vacation! It lasted for most of the day but was definitely very faint the next morning. If I’m honest it reminded me a bit of the fruity “perfumes” I wore as a teen, but it’s still fun, just lacking a bit of sophistication! I received this product for free from Kilian Paris for testing and review purposes. It’s definitely giving citrus/floral. I unfortunately didn’t get the black currant or tonka bean on my skin. It truly is bright and fresh I just wish there was some sweetness there. I have enjoyed layering this with candy fragrances.
First note that I get upon immediate application - sunscreen. I normally really enjoy fruity, bright scents, but for some reason, it dries down to an old-school sunscreen scent on me. When looking over the scent notes, I feel like the rose and blackcurrant combined into something that doesn't mesh well. I could also pick up a subtle mint note and that doesn't vibe well with the other scent notes either. Unfortunately, this scent is personally not for me. In addition, they state this is a unisex scent, though I would personally attribute this scent more to a feminine-vibe instead of unisex.
