First Care Activating Eye Serum

I have tried various Sulwhasoo products before but never the eye cream. The First Activating Eye Serum is unique in just the packaging of the product. I have used many tubes or metal applicators but this was the first ceramic applicator on an eye cream that I ever tried. It gives a cooling yet gentle application of the product. The serum itself combines peptides, ginseng and vitamin c to really provide as many active ingredients as possible. My under eye area feels fresher and brighter after just one use.

I’ve been using the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Eye Serum for a few weeks now, and it honestly feels more like a skincare treatment than a basic eye cream. The texture is lightweight and silky, so it absorbs quickly without leaving that heavy or greasy feeling under the eyes. It layers beautifully under makeup and doesn’t pill at all, which is a huge plus for me. What stood out most was how hydrated and smoother my under-eye area started looking. My concealer has been sitting better, and my eyes look more awake and less tired overall. It gives a really healthy, refreshed look without irritation, even on sensitive skin days. The only downside is definitely the price. It’s a luxury product, and you’re paying for the experience as much as the formula. But if you enjoy high-end skincare and want something that feels effective, elegant, and genuinely nourishing, I do think it’s worth trying — especially if your under-eyes tend to look dry, dull, or fatigued.

I've been in the beauty industry for over 20 years as a licensed cosmetologist, esthetician and professional makeup artist. I also currently work for 3 major skincare and makeup brands carried at sephora and ulta and have unlimited access to alot of products but Sulwhasoo remains at the top of my favorites list. This was my first experience using any of their eye products and it definitely did not disappoint. The First Care Activating Eye Serum is literally the eye version of their First Care Activating Serum which is one of my all time favorite products so to have the opportunity to try the eye serum made my day!! Sulwhasoo products have a way of taking you to this serene place when applying, the subtle scent reminds me of something you could only experience in a top notch luxury spa but it's not a forced fragrance, you can tell it's a natural fragrance that comes from the ingredients and not added fragrance which I love. It also feels incredibly soothing as soon as you apply it and continues to feel that way until it's completely absorbed. It definitely increases hydration around the eye area and helps your other eye products absorb better leaving the eye area perfectly prepped for any makeup application. I really can't say enough about any of the Sulwhasoo line and I constantly recommend it to friends, customers, clients and family.. I was given this product in exchange for my honest review 😊

I have really enjoyed SULWHASOO products in the past and this was no exception. The scent is very citrus-y and refreshing and I’ve seen quite a difference in the fine lines and darkness of my under-eyes. One thing to note is to be careful when removing the cap and to pop off and not twist as I didn’t notice until a few days after using this product that the applicator had come off in the lid and I was just applying manually with my fingers. The applicator is really nice and cooling and dispenses the perfect amount of product.

This eye serum is amazing, from the formulation down to the packaging mechanism! Using this is truly a luxury experience. The bottle is super convenient, it is not bulky so it can fit perfectly in your purse and overnight bag! The ceramic tip is absolutely wonderful. It is so cooling, it's the most cooling ceramic tip I've ever felt. It's the perfect shape to fit in all of your eye contours and has a great massaging feeling. The serum isn't too thick and it sinks in to the skin all the way during the night instead of just sitting on top. Between the serum and the applicator tip it reduced my eye bags and dark circles by a lot. I also noticed more smoothed skin and brightness around my eyes! It worked a lot faster than I expected, I have to say it is worth every single penny. Don't even hesitate, add it to your cart and buy it immediately! Thank me later!

I think this is one of those products that quietly becomes part of your routin and then you realize you don’t want to be without it. This Sulwhasoo eye serum has quickly become a favorite staple in my skincare routine. Let's start with the packaging - though it may seem like a small detail, the applicator tip not only allows for convenient and controlled application, it minimizes the likelihood of excessive use of product. Considering this is an effective but arguably expensive product - this matters. I think often we can be prone to using too much of our skincare products with the logic "more is better" rather than "less is more" - which is counterintuitive - you not only run out of product quicker, but you are wasting product that is not able to fully absorb. Without that absorption you are losing the benefits of your skincare, and any other skincare you use in conjunction. The tip of the packaging allows for controlled distribution, AND prevents contamination. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the gel like consistency of this serum, but I found it to have a nice glide, amazing absorbency, and worked well with other products. My personal concerns with the under eye area are fine lines and dark circles, and you will feel a slightly cool effect when applied, followed by a very subtle yet noticeable tightening. I have been using this prior to their eye cream as a start to my daily routine prior to makeup application. I wear contacts and suffer from chronic dry eye, so my eyes can be rather sensitive to certain formulations of products. Not the case here. While the efficacy of the product is always my main focus, the reality is that in order to truly fit into a full day time routine, it's important how your skincare sits on top and reacts to it. We all know that proper skin prep is the most pivotal step in attaining a flawless makeup application, and this prepares your undereyes so beautifully to get that perfect base for any corrector or concealer you may want to use. Hydrated, toned, brightened, and smoothed - everything you want to prevent undereye creasing. Another hit from Sulwhasoo!

This eye serum is very hydrating and cooling on the undereyes. I see an immediate difference in the plumpness and texture. I like that it sits very well under my concealer, foundation & setting powder. I like the convenient packaging that makes it easy to take on the go in my travel bag. It works well when incorporated to the rest of my routine and if you want additional hydration I like to apply a thicker hydrating eye cream over top of the thinner serum. Overall I highly recommend and I look forward to using this in my daily routine.

It layers well under eye cream and doesn’t pill under makeup. The biggest change for me wasn't dramatic wrinkle reduction, but that my under-eye area looked smoother and more refreshed. Makeup also seemed to sit better because the skin felt softer and less dry. It's one of those products that quietly improves the look of the skin over time rather than trying to deliver overnight miracles.

It absorbs quickly without leaving a heavy or sticky feeling under my eyes and it sits beautifully under makeup. I was so surprised when I first used it and felt how cool the applicator was!
