Amazing cleanser. Smells so good and my sensitive skin isn’t irritated by the fragrance. It lathers very well and my skin feels refreshed and clean without feeling stripped and dry (note: I have oily skin). Cleanser is gentle enough to use twice daily without dryness and irritation. I still have slight residue left behind on my skin if I do not double cleanse when I clean with toner and it doesn’t fully clear my stubborn clogged pores but it has reduced acne and oil production. Good formula and ingredients. Never had a bad product from this brand. Great value for price.

Pump was faulty :( bummer because I love the formula but I’ll have to return.

It seems nice and fresh and it is very gentle. I liked it so much that I repurchased when I finished it. However, the pump on the new bottle wouldn’t unlock and seemed to be jammed. I had to go through the garbage. To get the pump from my old bottle

Been only using it for a couple days, it smells amazing even tho I’m not a fan of fragrance in skincare. Leaves your skin so clean and fresh!

As for functionality, the combination of glycolic acid and gluconolactone seems to be doing real work—my skin has looked noticeably less dull since incorporating this into my routine, with a gentle exfoliating effect that hasn't caused any irritation or sensitivity, even on days I'm already using other active ingredients elsewhere in my routine. The niacinamide addition has helped balance my oilier areas too, so I'm not dealing with that midday shine I used to get with my old cleanser. Comfort-wise, this is really where it stands out. Despite being tough enough to remove makeup and sweat effectively, my skin never feels tight or stripped afterward, which has been a common complaint I've had with other "deep cleaning" formulas in the past. It rinses clean without any residue, and my skin feels soft rather than squeaky afterward. I also appreciate the ingredient callouts—being free of parabens, sulfates, and other common irritants gave me some peace of mind, especially since my skin can be reactive to certain formulations. It's a nice bonus that it's vegan and cruelty-free too, which matters to me when choosing skincare products. At $30.00, it's on the pricier side for a cleanser, but given how well-balanced the formula is for handling oil, dullness, and general cleansing without compromising my skin barrier, I think it's a reasonable price for the performance. Overall, this has been a gentle yet effective cleanser that's become a reliable part of my routine, and I'd happily repurchase once this bottle runs out

I ended up returning this mostly because of the packaging. The pump was very annoying to use, especially in the shower with wet hands. Very little product would come out despite a lot of effort. I don't need that aggravation in my life. It also had a bit of a strange smell.

I’m surprised by the number of glowing reviews this has. When you filter by non incentivized, verified purchases there are only 4. The pump does not work at all. The cleanser itself is ineffective at removing eye makeup. I’m not how sure a product is label ‘detox’ when it doesn’t even remove daily makeup. I’m familiar with Ouai and its various scents but in this face wash it’s overpowering. Overall, a loss and likely will be a DNF.
