HoliRoots™ Pre-Wash Scalp & Hair Treatment Oil

On my fifth bottle. I feel my scalp is healthier and so is my hair. I use twice to three times a week. 10 to 30 minutes then wash off. Will continue to purchase this.

This hair oil has been my go-to for years. I strongly believe in pre-wash oil massages because they help keep my scalp feeling healthy and can make damaged, dry hair from styling and colouring feel more nourished. Since childhood, I’ve had a weekly hair-oiling massage from either my Nana or my mum, so it’s always been a comforting part of my hair-care routine. The application is very straightforward, and I absolutely love the smell of this oil. It has also helped me manage hair fall and some of the scalp sensitivity I experienced after colouring my hair. I used to have a full head of stunning, healthy hair, but after years of colouring, it became brittle, dry, and prone to split ends. The breakage was honestly insane! To be completely honest, I wouldn’t say this oil dramatically promoted hair growth. But it definitely helped my hair look healthier, shinier, and much more manageable. For me, it’s been a great pre-wash treatment and a lovely way to give my hair some extra care.

I’m not sure if it helped thicken my hair, but I did like the way it smelled. It also didn’t leave a greasy feeling on my hair. I only got the mini one, so maybe that’s why I didn’t notice its effect

Yes this is very light weight and nourishing. I use it every other day and wash my hair once a week. Works great for my frizzy curls. Using from last year.

This worked far better than I expected and now it's an absolute MUST on my hair wash days. I'd been suffering an itchy flaky scalp for months and bought so many scalp treatments but none worked until this product. Now I experience no more flaking and, best of all, I can go a whole week and longer without any itchiness! Smells good too.

I’ve been using this for about 8 months now, and I’m honestly amazed at the results, so many new baby hairs growing ! The scent is lovely without being overpowering, which makes it even better to use regularly. I’ve tried other scalp oils before and never really saw a difference, but after deciding to invest a bit more and give this one a shot, I’m so glad I did. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it lasts a long time and truly delivers. Totally worth it!

The best thing about this product is definitely the scent—it smells like cedarwood, with a warm, woodsy vibe that’s honestly beautiful. I genuinely loved using it just for that alone. As for results, I think you need more than just the mini size to see anything meaningful. Time and consistency are key, and with such a small amount, it’s hard to give the product a fair chance. If you’re going to try it, be prepared to commit—and spend a bit. After buying it, I realized it might be more cost-effective to just go to a local Indian grocery store and pick up natural oils like almond oil, amla, or even ashwagandha-based blends. That route seems more sustainable long-term. That said, if you enjoy trying new products and want something that feels a bit luxurious and hopeful, this isn’t a bad option. Just keep in mind—the mini is very mini. I was surprised at how quickly I ran out, especially since minis usually last me a while. I guess that says something about how much I enjoyed using it. If you’re curious, I’d recommend trying to get a sample in-store before committing. As for me, I’ll probably go the homemade route next time—mainly because my wallet can’t keep up with how much I enjoy that scent.
