Meteorites Setting & Finishing Illuminating Powder Pearls

so i am light skinned, usually the neutral light before things start being called “light-medium”. i mix pearly white and cool together in one container, and apply it with an hourglass two sided veil powder brush, after swooshing it through the pearls vigorously. i love it. i usually use a different powder for my under eyes depending on my blush that day, but otherwise this powder sets everything else. it does leave a faint shimmer, but it’s really soft lit and opalescent even from up close. it’s certainly a setting powder that requires a bit of whimsical attitude, but if that’s your vibe, it’s worth getting one, or two in my case.

I got the warm shade which I found more purple and light balls with very few of the bronzier balls which I hoped would be more evenly distributed. Also the packaging is a thin cheap tin. Thought it would be better quality for the price. Overall the product smells nice and leaves a nice glow. You can find better products though. Especially at this price point.

I'm 46 and I bought this product on a whim. It's literally the best setting powder for mature skin. Apparently it's been reformulated and I don't know... The formula I'm using now is amazing. I take a big fluffy brush and just swirl it around in there. It's been game changing for me. I've tried other powders but I keep going back to this one

My product came without the powder puff applicator and customer service was fantastic in helping me figure out a solution promptly and kindly—5 stars for them. Product is 4 stars. The smell is quite strong just FYI.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] This powder is really nice. It was my first time using this and it was better than I expected. The shade is not too bad and it blended well. The packaging was also well done, helped it give a luxurious feel.

It’s expensive but it last, the way this makes me feel like a rich women I can’t begin to explain. It’s classy and sophisticated. It just takes your makeup to the next level. I use this after I use my green correcting cream , then again after I use bronzer and blush to set . Again it literally takes my makeup from looking normal to high end and the smell omg the smell is so good I wish it was a lotion. My first one last me a year. On my second one now I would tell everyone to use this.

However, Guerlain meteorites and I go way back, to the time when I had a fascination with my (rich) aunt's beautiful array of new and exciting products that we kids could only admire from afar. The first time I saw these fascinating little beads of powdery delight, my makeup-curious brain automatically reached for a closer look, at which my hand was slapped away. Knowing my mom could never afford such luxuries, I thus only admired them from afar, hoping that someday, I would be able to save up to buy them. Then life happened, and the wonderous box of silky pearls was forgotten. But here we are. When the box arrived, just looking at it brought back memories of childhood. The perfume, though not identical (I could recognize the original anywhere) was absolutely a delight. I don't wear many fragranced products, not that I mind them; but wearing this feels like one's reminded of classic beauties and iconic makeup. The pearls are all different shades of powders and finishes, with a mix of matte, satin, and shimmer, which together create a beautifully balanced finishing powder that makes my skin glow. The box is as beautiful as ever and pays homage to the original design. This I plan to keep, even after the pearls are gone. I'm so incredibly satisfied, not because it was a throwback to my past, but because I found a powder that's affordably luxurious and works well enough for me to justify switching to it.
