Second ingredient is Alcohol. When I would wipe my face with a cotton round with the toner on it, not only would it burn my skin, but it would somehow burn my eyes while applying it to the SKIN around. Giving it 2 stars for how it cleans the skin, but it's outweighed by how drying and stripping it is.

I always buy this size, from many retailers, including Clinique itself, and it always comes in a box, with a standard cap and the pump separate. So, some assembly required. When I received this from Sephora, no box and already assembled. Hopefully it hasn’t been used.

Clinique has been a part of my regimen for close to 40 years! Through the years I have tried many different products always searching for the best to suit my personal needs, and though some have changed over the years, this one remains a MUST HAVE! I have tried some that have made me break out and others that made my skin not feel as clean and fresh as this one does, LOVE IT!
I have been using this product for decades! And my skin looks very good. After all make-up is removed, I use this for any residual left on my face. This also makes a big difference for moisturizer to sink in. To see the effect, Try applying moisturizer on the back of your hand then on the other, use clarifying lotion, then moisturizer. I started with the strongest for my oily skin when I was in my 20s, I’ve now switched to level 2 (a milder form) There is a level 1 for more sensitive skin.
I used this for a few years, until I realized it has alcohol in it. Now I use a Kiehl’s toner.
